Groningen Airport Eelde present at New Energy Forum 22 June 2023

On 22 June 2023, the New Energy Forum took place at EnTranCe | Centre of Expertise Energy in Groningen. Here, pioneering initiatives in the energy and mobility transition were presented.

During her presentation, Meiltje De Groot spoke about the social role of Groningen Airport Eelde /NXT Airport, such as accommodating organ flights for the UMCG, and the activities in the field of sustainability. In particular, the Hydrogen Valley Airport projects, including the recently presented world first; a Ground Power Unit running on hydrogen.

As initiator of GSA, NXT Airport and the Hydrogen Valley Airport project at Groningen Airport Eelde / NXT Airport, Jonas van Dorp participated in the roundtable discussion led by Dr Beata Kviatek, Jean Monnet Chair in Sustainable EU Economy. At this international table, several regional initiatives, focusing on developments around the application of hydrogen.
