Family Members' Experiences In Decision-Making For Older Cancer Patients: Impact On Roles And Family Dynamics

Activiteit: Oral presentation

Description

In geriatric oncology, family members often support older patients during medical consultations and shared decision-making (SDM). While they can facilitate SDM,their involvement also presents challenges. Much of SDM occurs outside clinics, making family dynamics crucial to aligning decisions with patient values. This study aimed to explore family members' experiences in decision-making for older patients with cancer and the subsequent impact on roles and family dynamics.
