Abstract

The increase of the paved area and the effect of climate change can have a considerable impact on urban areas. One of the effects is the increase of storm water peak intensities and an increase in the frequency of these showers. These extreme events cause the sewer system to be overloaded and flood the streets and pose apossible health risk.
