Abstract
Boekhoofdstuk in het boek 'Werken in de brede school' van Doornenbal, Oenen en Pols. Het hoofdstuk geeft een korte beschrijving van de sportwereld en de positie die het onderwijs hierin inneemt. De pedagogische waarde van sport wordt beschreven en de manier waarop school en sport kunnen worden verbonden. Hierbij wordt de Groningse methode met behulp van sportteams in de wijken beschreven.
