Motorisch leren en blessurepreventie bij de jeugd

Abstract

Elke docent heeft er wel mee te maken gehad. Een leerling landt op de voet van een andere leerling of net naast de mat. In 2018 kwamen maar liefst 13000 kinderen
op de eerste hulp terecht als gevolg van een (ernstige) blessure tijdens het bewegingsonderwijs (Veiligheid.nl, 2019). Hiermee bezet het bewegingsonderwijs een stevige 2e plaats, na het veldvoetbal met ruim 33000 bezoeken. Dit heeft grote persoonlijke een maatschappelijk gevolgen. Gelukkig is er de laatste jaren veel aandacht voor het herstel na een blessure. In dit artikel willen we echter nadruk leggen op de preventie van blessures. Dit doen we niet alleen.
