Verticale zonnepanelen verdienen andere subsidievoorwaarden binnen de Stimuleringsregeling Duurzame Energie (SDE+) omdat de stroomproductie gelijkmatiger over het jaar verdeeld is. Dit ontlast het elektriciteitsnet.
