Abstract
Documenta 14 gebruikt Kassel niet als een instrumentele plek met gebouwen en muren en parken waar de kunst mooi op uitkomt, maar het neemt Kassel serieus als gesprekspartner en het beschouwt de bewoners als de eerste doelgroep. Het richt zich tot Kassel en de bewoners van Kassel doordat het zich verbindt met wat er al gebeurt, wat er al te zien is, en de geschiedenis van de gebouwen.
