Small scale tests on unreinforced masonry structures resembling the structures of Groningen region

During this project, small scale tests will be performed on unreinforced masonry (URM) structures resembling the structures of Groningen region will take place. The tests will be performed at the shaking table owned by our research group. The specimens will be tested under recursive loading to simulate to seismic loads with special care to assess the impact of the induced seismicity on the investigated structures. As part of the project, students of Hanze will work along preparing their projects in order to get a better understanding of the seismic loads and the testing and monitoring procedures.
