Innovation Lab Healthy Workplace

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The innovation lab Healthy Workplace (HWP) focuses on improving work environments through research and practice-oriented design solutions. Based within the research group Facility Management at Hanze, HWP collaborates with knowledge and educational institutions, authorities, and business, for example, to improve the health, engagement, satisfaction, and productivity of employees, while addressing the needs of both organizations and individuals. HWP aims to achieve better alignment between space and organization in office settings. We do so by connecting questions from office practices to applied research of our senior researchers, researchers, lecturers, and students in disciplines such as architecture, movement sciences, facility management, physiotherapy, health psychology, building engineering, arts, and real estate. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that solutions are not only robustly supported by theoretical and empirical evidence but also practically implementable. Through strong collaboration with our partners, HWP develops design solutions that help office organizations to function more effectively while improving the physical, mental, and social health of their employees.
