Personal profile

During her career Tineke van der Schoor has held several positions in the field of sustainability. As a delegation member she has represented the Dutch NGO’s at the UNCED Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro. She also organised many debates and conferences on sustainable development for the NCDO. Tineke has been involved in politics, acting as a municipal executive on Housing, Spatial Planning and Environment for the municipality of Winsum.

At the Research Center for Built Environment NoorderRuimte she does research into energy in the built environment. On the one hand she focuses on local energy initiatives, i.e. local citizens wanting to realise the energy transition bottomup in their own living area. Her second theme is energy efficiency in monumental buildings: how can we reconciliate historical qualities and the need for comfort and energy economy?

Results of her research have been published in scientific journals, moreover Tineke has contributed to several conferences in the past years.
