Research interests
I am an oral hygienist from origin and I still work in a dental office one day a week. In 2009 I finished the research master Nursing Science in Utrecht and my master thesis was about daily oral care in nursing homes. Also in 2009 I started working as an instructor/ lecturer at Hanze University and in 2014 my students and I completed a study about daily oral care in nursing homes in Friesland. This was the start of a bigger research project, the Healthy Mouth project, which we implemented in home care nursing in the province of Friesland, from March 2016 - Sept 2019. At this very moment I am working on my PhD thesis and the different articles to complete the PhD.
