Senior Researcher Art & Rurality
Research Interests
Together with artists, inhabitants, and organizations, I research the role of the arts (visual arts, musical practices etc.) for the liveability in the rural north of the Netherlands.
Currently I am working on developing a research project that looks at the dynamics between historic religious heritage in rural areas and contemporary artistic practices.
Overall, my research interests lie at the intersection of the arts, heritage, religion, and rurality.
