Personal profile

Research interests

Grateful for having the opportunity to work as a volunteer after retiring on an old age pension, Hans still likes to use his skills doing experiments together with colleagues and students. All kind of topics touching on the field of physics and sustainability have his interest: solar panels, insulation, storing electricity and heat (including also cold) in buffers, new energy carriers and modelling scenarios.

Hans thinks literature mining is paramount before starting a project. When overlooked, it comes at a price because R&D is not just multidisciplinary teamwork but also elaborating on the know-how of precursors and predecessors.

Education/Academic qualification
