Personal profile

Professional Information

I am a Lecturer-Researcher at the Institute of Engineering, where I am a member of the Sensors and Smart Systems research group. There, I work on applied research projects related to robotics. As lecturer, I teach courses related to Robotics, Electronics and Control Systems for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering program, and Research Skills for the Master Smart Systems Engineering program.

My background is in Electrical Engineering (BSc, MSc and PhD). Before joining academia, I worked as an engineer for 4 years with design and maintenance of industrial automation machines. During my master’s I worked with control of electric drives, and in my doctorate I researched non-linear control and dynamic compensation for mobile robots. I am involved with educational robotics since 2010, currently as member of the Technical Committee of the RoboCup Junior Soccer. I am also guest-editor of the joint special issue "Smart Robotics for Automation" for the journals Sensors and Automation, from MDPI.
