Professional Information

At the Hanze UAS Felipe Nascimento Martins currently holds a position of Senior Lecturer and Researcher. He is a member of the research group Sensors and Smart Systems and is involved in courses related to Robotics and Electronics, both to bachelor and masters students.

As a team mentor and competition committee member, Felipe has over 10 years of experience in applying and developing Educational Robotics. One example is the development and implementation of the first RoboCupJunior Soccer Simulation competition. 

Felipe's background is in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on control of mobile robots. During his PhD he worked on modeling, simulation and adaptive nonlinear control of mobile robots, including multi-robot coordination. With a sound base in electrical drives, during his master's he implemented a controller for a brushless DC motor and developed a fuzzy controller for a three-phase induction motor to operate as a generator. Before joining academia, Felipe worked as an engineer for 4 years with design and maintenance of industrial automation machines.
