Personal profile

Personal profile

I work three days a week as a PhD student at the Healthy Ageing, Allied Health Care and Nursing lectureship. The research being done within the PhD programme focuses on health problems and multimorbidity in people with severe multiple disabilities. Relatives and caregivers are important in identifying these health problems. These will also be involved during the PhD project. As a researcher, I am also affiliated with the University of Groningen and the Academic Workshop EMB (severe multiple disabilities). My goal as a researcher is to improve the quality of healthcare for people with very severe and intellectual disabilities. Besides my work as a PhD student, I work as a lecturer at the physiotherapy course at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede.
