The Sustainable HRM Research Group conducts research in and contributes to these developments. The term 'sustainable' in the name indicates a focus on the future that is inherent in, or should be inherent in, HRM. This is about labour participation of employees up to the higher age groups and sometimes it concerns the continuous involvement of ex-employees. Naturally, it is also about the continuity of businesses. Key issue is increasing reciprocity between working people and organisations.
The professorship was established in consultation with the business world in the north of the Netherlands. With respect to research, the professorship also co-operates with the business world. Lecturers and students of various degree programmes of Hanze UAS participate in the research.
