Research Centre Entrepreneurship

Organization profile

Profile Information

Entrepreneurship is inextricably attached to the practice-based approach which is characteristic for higher education. Hanze UAS is in constant contact with companies and institutions which we collaborate with, focusing on education and research. Collectively, we respond actively to developments in the Northern Netherlands.

Enterprising professionals
We educate students to become enterprising and innovative professionals who design their own career, develop and improve their profession and create their own opportunities. From lecturers, we expect the same enterprising attitude.

Education and support
Hanze UAS offers students ample opportunities to develop enterprising qualities. Initiatives for students and starting entrepreneurs are offered by the Center of Entrepreneurship Value050.

Hanze UAS is thé research partner for small and medium-sized enterprises. Professors and researchers investigate, practically oriented, diverse social issues. Professors, researchers, lecturers and students work together on applied knowledge for entrepreneurs in the Centre of Entrepreneurship.

Hanze UAS has close collaboration with many companies and institutions in order to improve the quality of entrepreneurship. We have diverse partners in entrepreneurship at our disposal.

Research and entrepreneurship
Hanze UAS is thé knowledge partner for small and medium-sizes enterprises. Practice-based research with regard to diverse issues from society is being carried out by professorships. Research in the field of entrepreneurship takes place at professorships attached to the Research Centre Entrepreneurship. Under the instructions of professors, researchers investigate relevant issues from society with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. In research, the emphasis often is on Energy and Healthy Ageing. Furthermore, we focus on entrepreneurship in transition and stimulation of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Entrepreneurship education
Hanze UAS offers students many possibilities to achieve entrepreneurship qualities. Entrepreneurship education and opportunities for starting entrepreneurs are being organised by the Center of Entrepreneurship Value050. For more information and a list of the activities for students, lecturers and entrepreneurs offered, please visit theCVO/Value050 website.

Entrepreneurship College
Every semester, Value050 organises workshops and lectures in the series 'Mastering Entrepreneurship College' – for enterprising professionals - and 'Startup Academy' – for starting entrepreneurs – about business concepting, social media, (crowd) funding, business model canvas, design thinking and marketing and sales, among other things.

Students who have an idea for a company and who would like to design a model or a company plan, can turn to the Research Centre Entrepreneurship and ask for coaching. Experienced entrepreneurs and lecturers can coach you. For example with the development of a company plan, a financial issue or market research.
