Profile Information
The Research Centre Art & Society carries out research into the interaction between art and society and the ever changing professional practice of artists and musicians because of this. The results of this research are used in the professional practice as well as in higher arts education.
The Research Centre Art & Society consists of the research groups Lifelong Learning in Music, Image in Context and Popular Culture, Sustainability & Innovation. The research centre comprises research groups which are connected to various disciplines within music and fine arts and the teacher training courses that accompany these. The research centre consciously aims to be more than the sum of its parts; the combination of research groups has to result in added value to the contents of the results.
