Organisation profile
Despite all efforts, inequalities of health and opportunity have increased in recent years instead of decreased. This makes the need and urgency for better health and participation all the greater. Hanze UAS Groningen contributes to the increase of healthy years for the citizens in the northern region by working on equality of opportunity & participation, frailty & adequate care, and healthy lifestyle & living environment. Through research based on questions from the field of practice, we develop new knowledge and transfer that to the (future) professionals through education and learning networks.
Transition accelerators
In the transition to a healthy and active society, Hanze UAS contributes to other major societal changes, for instance in the field of digitization and energy. Similar issues play a role here, which is why Hanze UAS is also conducting practice-oriented research into how these transitions can be accelerated.
Hanze UAS aims to increase the impact of practice-oriented research through research into so-called transition accelerators. These transition accelerators are Learning Communities, Citizen Science, and Technology & Digitization. You can read more about them here.
