Families’ opinion about their involvement in care during hospitalization: A mixed-methods study

Dataset

Description

The dataset provides an overview of the mixed-methods approach, highlighting moments of data integration. The dataset includes a questionnaire designed to broadly assess the involvement of family members of hospitalized patients (FINC-FO) (quantitative data). Originally developed for home nursing care, this instrument was adapted for use in both nursing and medical care settings within hospitals. The quantitative dataset also contains the results of data analyses conducted on responses from over 153 family members. For the qualitative component, the dataset includes the interview guide, which was developed based on the findings from the quantitative data. Additionally, the dataset includes a codebook that outlines the topics and themes identified through qualitative analysis, which were used to develop a model based on these emergent themes; the developed model has also been included in the dataset.
