Organising the international symposium for European regional and local policy makers, academia and experts on policies for unlocking green hydrogen economy for SMEs.
The event included five thematic seminars and three site visits. During the thematic sessions the focus was on three main themes:
(1)socio-economic aspects of energy transition and the role of SMEs in regional economy,
(2)development of regional green H2 valleys: opportunities (and risks) for SMEs competitiveness and jobs creation,
(3)developing industrial symbiosis: stimulating participation of SMEs in green H2 value chains.
The site visits showcased development of the university led green H2 innovation ecosystem. The Centre of Expertise Energy (CoE Energy) and the Energy Transition Centre (ENTRANCE), in cooperation with private and public partners and stakeholders, provides a considerable contribution to the sustainable growth, SMEs competitiveness and jobs creation with SMEs in the developing regional green H2 economy of the Northern Netherlands. The site visits were to:
(1) Centre of Expertise Energy, the research centre of the Hanze University AS
(2) The testing ground and start-ups lab of the Energy Transition Centre (ENTRANCE)
(3) Energy Barn, BuildinG, ZAP facilities
