Sustainable Energy Solutions 2016

Description

The course aims to enhance understanding of key topics related to energy transition and to contribute to building new capacities for promoting sustainable energy systems for climate resilient industry, especially in the context of emerging economies.
Some 25 professionals from developing countries will come to Groningen to discuss recent trends in sustainable energy solutions and to reflect on practical, innovative and cost effective ways to address sustainability.
Lecturers from UNIDO, EAE, the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, other EAE partners and the UNIDO network will provide insights into the global framework for inclusive and sustainable industrial development; renewable energy techniques; industrial energy efficiency measures; energy systems integration and modelling; grid development; energy economics; financing schemes for energy and climate change; innovation ecosystems; gender / human dimension of energy transition; and integrated solutions on the nexus of energy, climate change and land use.
