Description
Performance opportunities for classical musicians seem to be declining. Nevertheless, the growth of creative industries is larger than that of the economy. Current emphasis is more on touring, Internet, and non-live performance. Financial viability depends on advertising, social media, merchandising, etc. Therefore, career success depends on disciplinary and network agility, creative enterprise, and career self-management. Becoming a musician involves taking on a variety of personally and professionally challenging roles.Period | 15 Mar 2017 |
