Description

Shared patient rooms provide social support for patients and reduce the workload for nurses. This afternoon, valuable insights were shared by Marie Giethoorn, a student of Applied Psychology, from the Research Group Facility Management, on social interaction and stress perception among patients in shared rooms, and by nursing students Femke Boskma and Ulkje Semplonius on reducing work pressure and the functional design of patient rooms. Two related studies from the living lab Health Space Design that are essential to consider in hospital design.
