Description
Thirty-nine participants attended the first meeting of the Network for Interdisciplinary Research in Music hosted by the Research Center Art & Society of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen and funded by the NWO as a matchmaking event (NWA.1162.065). Participants represented three Dutch conservatories, one arts center, five academic universities, four universities of applied sciences, three medical specializations within the UMCG, and various music professions. Researchers presented their work and engaged in a panel discussion on the topics of music education and performance. Participants exchanged contact information and made concrete appointments for brainstorming inter-disciplinary research questions surrounding music practice and audience perception. Moreover, motivated students and early career musicians made contact with researchers across disciplines to inform their next career moves.Period | 8 Nov 2019 |
