Challenges of Implementing Cybersecurity: The Perspective of the NIS2 Directive

Description

The cybersecurity framework of the European Union established in 2016 by the Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive underwent a significant revision with the enactment of the NIS2 Directive in 2023. This directive must be transposed by the EU Member States into national law by 17 October 2024 and they are currently in the process of implementing it. There are, however, numerous legal and technical problems in guaranteeing a high level of cybersecurity across the EU.
