#2nd International Smart Energy Hubs Conference 2025

Activity: Attending, contributing or organising an eventOrganising or contributing to a conferenceProfessional

Description

The theme of this year’s program is Unlocking Robust, Decarbonized Energy Systems through Smart Energy Hubs. The programme showcases how Smart Energy Hubs (SEHs) coordinate
electricity, heat, hydrogen, sustainable fuels, storage, and flexible demand; how interoperable EMS and digital twins keep operations explainable and cyber-secure; and how governance, contracts, and local market rules turn technology into practice. Expect sessions on multi-commodity smart grids and sector coupling (Power-to-X), regional planning and siting, hydrogen integration, community markets, components and systems (incl. EU HERMES insights), regulatory frameworks, and regional/national pilot programmes that translate lessons into templates others can reuse.

The conference is designed for researchers (universities, universities of applied sciences, TO2 institutes), industry experts, consultants, and public authorities (municipalities, regions, DSOs).
We anticipate around 200 participants. The main conference language is English to welcome our international community and ensure broad knowledge exchange.
